4 may 2009

We took M for her first big round of vaccines 2 weeks ago. The poor little girl. I felt bad because she actually slept through the night and was so happy when she woke up (she slept from like 11-8) and of course, we had to take her to go get shots. It was our first visit to the new doctor and we actually liked this office way more than the other one.

The nurse started out with her height - 23" - a whole 3" taller than when she was born. Then she was trying to take her temperature, but M wanted nothing to do with that and ended up pooping all over the nurse - it was funny. She weighed in at 13.5 lbs, too, which is on the larger side, but still common for her age.

I can't believe she's 3 months old already, time is going so fast.

08 april 2009

Jesse and I bought a sewing machine the other day. I played with it for the first time yesterday and I figured out how to thread the upper needle and wind the bobbin all by myself. I practiced some simple stitches but the bottom of the stitch kept coming loose. I was so disappointed with myself.

So today I tried again, hoping to have some better luck and I did!! I made this little hat out of an old t-shirt I had for exousia's son. He was born about a month prematurely, so I wanted to send her a gift for him since she mentioned not having anything for a preemie.

I'm so proud of myself. :)

I can't believe M's almost 2 months old already! Time is going so fast. She laughs at us now, which is adorable. She especially loves when we make smacking sounds with our lips. She thinks it's hilarious. This is her trying to do it:

And I absolutely love this picture:

I've been crafting away lately, too.
Two of my latest creations:
